The Apostle Paul said in Philippians 3:10; [For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understand the wonders of His Person more strongly and clearly.] Amplified Bible.

It didn’t matter what knowledge Paul already possessed about God, he was hungry and desperate to get to know him even more intimate. I would like to stir up that hunger in you again and make you realize that You and I can have such a close intimate relationship with Him, where He reveals Himself to us in mighty ways.

In the book of Hebrews we can read the words of the new covenant from the book of Jeremiah. In the New Covenant there is a promise that is so precious that we can’t just take it for granted since it was provided by His own Blood on Calvary.

Heb 8:11 None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother saying, know the Lord, for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them.

For all shall know Me, Wow did you hear that? All shall know Me. Through His own blood, Jesus made a way for you and me to enter into intimacy with our Father, the very one that initiated us from the beginning of time.

Since we have such a precious promise and invitation from the Father Let us respond and enter into the secret place and have communion with Him who knew us before time began and He who knows the plans that He has for us, plans to prosper us and give us an expected end.

Learning To Wait on Him.
This way of having fellowship with Him has been hard for me to learn and I’m still learning. It took a long time for me to be at rest of just waiting and longing for him in a resting state of mind. You see I was one of those that thought I needed to pray through to get to God. But I have learned that it’s not what we do that moves God, instead he is longing to come close and take his Habitation in our midst.

For instant my first years of getting to know Him I had more of a monologue with Him. My patience and faith for actual communion with Him was very low. But this revelation on the blessedness of waiting on Him have changed my life in a great way. You see intimacy is all about waiting and being sensitive.

The word waiting in the Hebrew language is more of a Waiting that is full of faith and expectancy. It’s that kind of waiting a son has for his father to come home and play with him. Or a bride that is waiting for the bridegroom to come to her.

We need to learn how to enter into intimacy with the Holy Spirit. We can’t go on doing what we always have done when it comes to prayer and worship. There is greater intimacy with Him than what we have experienced so far.

Sensitivity.
In order for us to have this close intimate fellowship with the Holy Spirit, we need to understand the importance of being sensitive to Him. A sensitive person is very aware of the what Holy Spirit likes and what He dislikes. A sensitive person is ready to change his or her behavior to please The Holy Spirit in every way.

Spiritual hygiene.
A very essential part of having intimacy with the Holy Spirit is to live pure and abstaining from all sorts of evil. If a husband haven’t showered in a week he will not be able to come close to his wife until he has washed himself clean. We need to be careful and find out if there is anything that is stinking in our lives. If there is any behavior or thoughts that is grieving the precious Holy Spirit in such a way that it hinders Him from being in close fellowship with us.

Returning to the place of intimacy.
I have sensed again and again that the Spirit of God is drawing and calling His people into intimacy, it is very easy to disconnect that fellowship with Him since we are living in such a busy age. But I want to encourage you to turn off what ever you need to turn off and repent of what ever you need to repent of and access the throne of GRACE with all boldness and asking the Holy Spirit to guide you into even closer intimate fellowship with Him. I am convinced that out of that close intimate fellowship with Him. You together with The Holy Spirit will do mighty exploits for the Kingdom of God.

Abide in Him and He in you, that you might bear MUCH fruit.
